Been thinking alot lately of getting Maddie spayed. She's at the ripe age where she can get it done. Thinking about it just makes me nervous. Don't want my love dubb to suffer and be in pain, which makes me wonder how I'd be when I have children. Such a worry wart, ain't I?
Our vet says that the cost to spay her will be about a couple of hundred dollars. Pretty steep, huh? Need to inquire if it's because they are going to do the" laser" procedure as opposed to using scalpel. I've been reading about "laser" procedures and it seems like its the best way to go.
On a sidenote, everytime, I see, hear, or even think of "laser", I think of Austin Powers. Remember how he did the quotation marks each time he said the word laser? Ok, Ok... nevermind.
Just finished watching the the last episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County where they are sitting down and just dishing it out with each other. Gawd, I'm sprung off this show and I have no idea why! I've come to realize that I absolutely loathe Tamra, have a love-hate relationship with Vicky, unsure about Jeana and adore Lynne and Gretchen.
Leaves me wondering if the Real Housewives of Atlanta are ever going to make a second appearance. I was obsessed with that show even more for its ghetto fabness.
Plans for the weekend. Have a fabulous Sweet 16 Ice Cream social with my fellow sorority sisters as we celebrate 16 years at our university. Can't believe it's been that long since our chapter has been established. Off to a whimsical baby shower for a good friend, bernbaby.

This and That.
No title. No specific subject to talk about. That seems to be the theme these days for me. Ugh. I hate having writer's block. Do you? Hence the drop in blogging.
Let's start out with my love dubb, Maddie. She turned 4 months this past Friday and boy has she grown. She's a total of 32 pounds. So far, she's been gaining on an average of 10 pounds per month. Doc says she should be a decent size of a dog. Hmmm, you sure about that doc? At the rate we are going, I'm not quite sure. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.
She's finally done with all of her shots. Yay, doggie parks here we come. Sike, not yet. She still has to get neutered.
Watched the Oscars and I thought it was one of the best Oscars thus far. Agree? My favorite part is the past winners presenting the nominees. Gave it more of an intimate and personal touch. Shedded tears on the first presentation of supporting actress, Viola Davis. Don't know why I did because I didn't see that nominee's movie. Just saw her glassy eyes and that did it for me!
My two favorite looks of the magical night were Taraji Henson and Marisa Tomei. Taraji looked absolutely beautiful. I loved the pops of color she added to the dress and looooooved her hair and makeup. Marisa's dress was just so intricately beautiful. So Oscar'esh and yes I thought it way surpassed Penelope's dress.
I was rather disappointed that Miss Aniston looked fairly average especially since she was presenting and her and she-who-must-not-be-named-was smack dab in the front. How horrible could that have been? Dammit, Jenn!!! But, I do have to admit that I loved she-who-must-not-be-named's- rich green jewerly.
Got some cute heart shaped stencils for cupcake making. Only $2.95 at Crate and Barrel. Just noticed that they have a spring line out. It's full priced at $5.95 which still isn't too bad. I think the only one I'd use though is the scallopped stencil.

Things On My Mind.
February has sure flown by. I know it's not quite over yet. But, the weeks have just flown by for me. Here's what I've been up to.
Became a sucker for Mel B's fitness video after seeing her on the Ellen Show the other day. All it took was, " I didn't want to go to the gym; just wanted to work out at home." That exact phrase had me logging onto Amazon.com and hitting " add to your cart". Now it's on its way.
The girl looks amazingly awesome after shedding 60 pounds of her pregnancy weight. 60 freakin' pounds, people!!! I especially love the fact that she uses items at home in place of dumbells if you don't have any. She uses items such as water bottles and canned goods. Heck, she even uses a freakin' broom! Genius! Genius!
Valentine's Day with the hubs was great! We dined at a small restaurant about an hour away from home called Taste. The town is named Plymouth. We were pretty much the only Asians in the restaurant, yet alone, minorities. Kinda awkward. But, we weren't treated any differently. I think. Locked lips on the most delicious wine. A 1997 Silver Oak. Ooh Baby! It was fan-freakin-tastic! Luckily, we have one more bottle left and we plan on breaking it open for our 1 year anniversary. Ugh. Did I say 1 year? I can't believe it's quickly coming up.
Booked our Hawaii trip. Last time we were in Hawaii was a couple of years ago. July 2006. Remember throwing a fit to the hubby that I am so tired of waiting and waiting and waiting for him to propose. I think it had to do with attending so many weddings that year and being surrounded by wives. The hell? Little did I know, he was about to propose a month later. Oopsey! Photo on the night we got engaged to the right. {hides face under blanket}
Still not finish with our green giant guest room. Ugh. I should have primer'd first. Dammit. Too freakin' lazy + cheap. Lagging on buying a second gallon of paint as I need to do a second coat and finish a 1/4 of the wall. I thought this project would be complete in a weekend. Hah. Should have known that I inherited my dad's genes of not completing work as planned. Mama would be proud.
Plans for the weekend: Tea time with some girls. Love playing tea house. Feel so dainty. Heh.

Here's Proof That I'm a Hog.
For the past couple of nights, I guess the hubs has been complaining to me that I've been hogging the blanket and leaving him in the cold. Woopsey! Ofcourse, I was in complete denial and thought he was fabricating the entire story just to get some wifey love.
Nope, the dude took it to another level and snagged a photo op. Ok, buddy, I see how it is. The next time you snore really loud, I'm going to record your a$$ and put it on play dub.
Saw these adorable printed tape. I want to buy one so bad! You can purchase them at tapeswell.com. But, honestly, I think I wouldn't use it because it's just so pretty to even use. Call me selfish like that.

M.I.A.
My apologies. I've been in a blog rut. Unsure of what to talk about. Plus, I haven't been doing much besides the daily routines of life. Blah.
Decided to finally take the plunge and paint our guest room a hearty mean green. Starting to second guess my decision. It's too much of a pea in a pod. The color is called Chardonnay Bottle from the Martha Stewart collection at Lowe's.
I think I'm just used to looking at neutral colors such as brown, khaki, black, white, creams.
Gonna paint on a rectangle-squar'ish headboard in light of our recession. It's quite suttle. The headboard is. Which I absolutely love. I got the idea from a blog that I happen to stumble upon when I google the words, " painted rectangle headboard design sponge."
I wasn't quite able to give the hubs his Valentine's gift on V-day itself. So clumsy of me. I left his present out while I was away at a meeting. Smack dab in the kitchen on the counter top with the box open and recipe pouring out. Yeah, so he's using it now. Glad though. He's been needing a new laptop bag. I got him what is "supposedly" voted #1 laptop bag of the year. Never knew such an award existed, did you?
It's by a company called bbp. It's ergonomic which is the #1 reason why I got it for the hubs because he has a bad back. Plus, you can use it as a backpack and as a messenger bag. So far, so good.
Gotta pass this freebie to all of you because it's just too adorable to not pass on. How About Orange has three free downloaded wallpaper for your computer. Right now, I have the first one! Click here to get yours!
